Rebecca D. Heitz was born in Los Angeles, California, but was raised in the idyllic Ojai Valley, 50 miles north. After receiving her degree in Anthropology at University of California at Berkeley, she went on to pursue a career as a textile designer for Esprit, Levi’s, Mattel, and other fashion houses in San Francisco. After a six-month sojourn through Nepal, Southeast and East Asia, Rebecca embarked on her next profession, as Producer and Creative in the newly established film and video company, Hotbed Media. Rebecca helped produce and create commercials and branded entertainment with innovative storytelling and marketing savvy, including playing a key role in Hotbed’s receipt of an East Bay ADDY award.
