Catherine Lisle’s unique textile work explores celestial and geometric themes, referencing planets, stars, and other heavenly bodies. Beginning with richly dyed mudcloths sourced from Africa, she hand-stitches together her delicate patterns with golden thread, often finishing the work with pools of metallic leaf.

After returning to Florida, she opened a nifty-thrifty art-and-vintage shop and spends her time making endlessly funky art objects - sometimes they’re dolls.
