Nancy Pastor, an award-winning photojournalist, was a staff photographer for The Washington Times, in Washington D.C., for six years, before moving to Los Angeles to launch her freelance career. Nancy has received many accolades for her work. In Pictures of the Year International (POYi), Nancy received a judge’s special recognition in the Community Awareness Award for her work on “Jasmine’s World” and “Tobacco Road”. While a member of the White House News Photographers Association (WHNPA), Nancy received a grant for her work on “Tobacco Road'', as well as several individual awards throughout her career in Washington, D.C. Nancy earned her master’s degree from New York University/International Center of Photography. Prior to being a working photojournalist, she worked as a fashion stylist. Nancy now lives a mile from the sand in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
