Gary Dinkins holds a degree in Russian from U.C. Berkeley, and an M.A. in French from U.C.Santa Barbara. His study of foreign language led to an interest in the language of visual art, through which he pursues an understanding of nature's aesthetic. Gary describes his work as impressionistic renderings of the natural environment, where reflected light, and intense color are the dominant elements. He studied under noted California artist Ray Strong.
